What’s New With Z?

Not a whole heck of a lot, Minions. I’ve largely been staying at home (because that’s where the pants aren’t) and working on edits for my next book – which is coming your way in 2020. I can’t really say much about it, except for the fact that it’s the most complicated book I’ve ever written, and I love the characters so much that it ~almost~ makes me feel bad putting them through what I’m putting them through. Almost. But not totally. You know how we authors are.

Other than that, I’m gearing up for Webster Groves High School’s Writers’ Week (Webster Groves, MO) and the Calvacade of Authors (Richland, WA). Tickets are still available for the Calvacade of Authors, btw – and man, get a load of this line-up: Margaret Stohl,Francisco X. Stork, Ally Condie, Brendan Reichs, Svetlana Chmakova, Sherri L. Smith, Jennifer Nielson, Deborah Hopkinson, Michael Buckley, Cinda Williams Chima, Justina Ireland, Kazu Kibuishi, Shannon Messenger, and D. J. Machale! Plus I’ll be there, probably doing something weird. I’m like that bizarre houseplant in the corner of the room. People look at it, but are afraid to go near it because it may eat them. Can’t blame ’em. I’ve eaten so many people. Mmm…crunchy. ANYHOO…

That’s about it for now. Just words, kittehs, and getting ready to see some Minions (which is the best part, tbh). Plus that whole world domination thing. But that’s an update for another time.
